Bringing in the Sheaves

After a fine year of good vegetables grown right, we’re slowing down operations on the blog. But we’re welcoming whatever you would like to send in now, or just post here as a comment, about what brought you the most pleasure about being a farm member this year.

We’ve heard some advice from members, too. More tomatoes would be great, maybe fewer eggplant, and – here’s one we didn’t see coming – more zucchini.

Watch, too, for a survey on farm operations. We’ll be looking for more formal feedback shortly.

My favorite part of the year was picking beans. I liked the food, and made a bunch of good dishes from the food, but there were a few trips in the late summer when my son actually sat down in the field, pulled off beans and ate them raw. He wouldn't always eat them on a plate, but he did love their sweet sun-warmed taste. I'll remember that forever.

I loved all the eggplant! I agree with the others though more tomatoes and zuchunni.
